Resource Manager is not updated

description

Whenever I create a new set of .resx files they are not detected, or at least they do not appear in the resource manager until I add at least one string to the file

Wrong project. This issue is related to Resx Resource Manger on Codeplex.

In general, changes to the solutions while the solution is opened in RESX manager are not detected automatically by RESX Manager. You have to close and open the solution again. In the next version, I will add further buttons in order to increase usability to reload a solution.

I tried to reproduce the behaviour, but, in my sample, RESX manager displayed the new resx-file, even though the file was empty. Do you mean the .NET resource manager class instead?

I meant RESX Resource Manager. This happens to me in VS2010. Even after closing and re-opening the solution (or VS altogether) the new file is not shown until I add at least one string.

I am not sure and I don't have access to VS at the moment but I think when I added the first string I just had to close and re-open RESX Resource Manager and not the whole solution.

I'm experiencing this problem as well using VS 2012.
